The Swiss Information and Management Institute (the governing body of DoctorEdu and MI Swiss) is a globally recognized and acclaimed private higher education institution, holding independent and private international accreditation at the institutional, school, and program levels. The Schweizer Institut für Hochschulbildung in Management und Innovation (MI Swiss) is an international cooperation institute of SIMI Swiss.

SIMI Swiss is licensed by the Zug Canton authority as a private institution. Being a private institution in Switzerland, SIMI Swiss issues private qualifications. Not being part of Switzerland's federal and public higher education sector, it operates independently and is not regulated under the Federal Act of 30 September 2011 on the Funding and Coordination of the Higher Education Sector (HEdA), SR 414.11.

Our higher education programs differ from the Swiss National Curricula and programs leading to Swiss Government university qualifications and federally regulated qualifications in Switzerland.

SIMI Swiss is a private, globally accredited higher education institute in Switzerland and is not affiliated with the Swiss public education system or the Swiss government. The qualification issued by SIMI Swiss is a Private qualification, distinct from federal degrees or degrees awarded by public universities in Switzerland.

DoctorEdu delivery methods

DoctorEdu is a member of the Swiss EduSchool of Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to creating top Swiss-made DoctorEdu.

With the aim of becoming a leading private higher education institute in training based on the Live Class learning model (a combination of Live Class and local tutoring), SIMI Swiss implements the training model:

  • For international students in countries without SIMI Swiss partners or campuses: Students will engage in online learning with Live Class sessions directly led by SIMI Swiss instructors.
  • For students in countries with partners or campuses recognized by SIMI Swiss, learners will participate in Live Class sessions with SIMI Swiss instructors, concurrently engaging in local support activities facilitated by the partner.

"Please be aware that local partners provide support but do not have the authority to determine alternative study outcomes with SIMI Swiss. The sole discretion to decide on academic results rests with SIMI Swiss and partner universities involved in the assessment and diploma awarding process."

SIMI Swiss Campus

In order to support the development strategy and for the Live Class training model to be implemented, SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss have invested in many offices, e-campuses, and campuses in Switzerland and many countries. The goal of forming and subdividing offices into multiple locations is to ensure academic support activities as well as deploy training closer and closer to learners.

During the implementation of the program, whether it is a Live-Class, full-time or online model, SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss can rent, cooperate, transfer or franchise the use of facilities to serve their operations. It is important for students and other parties to understand that the facilities, libraries, online and campus systems, e-campus, and city campus that SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss are using may not wholly owned by SIMI and MI Swiss, or may be shared or wholly owned by the government.

To understand this, students need to be aware of the importance of visiting and using. For students studying at the Campus of SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss, depending on the organizational model and nature of the class, SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss can arrange a suitable learning campus. SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss do not commit that students studying at the SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss campus can use all available facilities and/or study on the large campus, or the entire campus that SIMI Swiss and MI Swiss located. Students also need to share and understand the strict requirements and regulations to ensure security and ownership.

Visiting the campus, e-campus and city campus are only for relatives of full-time students

With attention to safety and security as most of the offices, campuses, and e-campuses of SIMI Swiss are located on campuses with many office buildings and/or government buildings. As well as ensuring safety and fairness, if parents and relatives of FULL-TIME students want to visit the office, campus, e-campus, city campus of SIMI Swiss, they need to notify in advance.

"SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu reserve the right to approve based on the work schedule, time, and support staff arrangements."

When visiting the office, campus, e-campus, city campus of SIMI Swsis, relatives of full-time students should note the following:

1. SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu only accept and support relatives and parents of full-time students. SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu do not support, organize or allow students to study online (Live-class/full online) and their relatives (with or without accompanying) to visit the office, campus, e-campus, city campus.

2. The day of visiting the campus, e-campus, city campus must be a working day and not included in holidays or breaks according to SIMI and MI Swiss schedules.

3. Parents, relatives of students and students themselves need to be aware that some offices, campuses, and e-campuses are only a part of the entire campus. Therefore, when visiting, parents and relatives need to follow the instructions and use relevant facilities and equipment properly.

4. Some training places, libraries and other learning facilities are created in cooperation with partner universities or government schools. In this case, parents, relatives and students need to communicate properly to avoid conflicts of interest as well as inaccurate information.

5. Parents and relatives of students need to ensure safety and security and take full responsibility for any damage that occurs during the visit to SIMI office, campus, e-campus and city campus.

SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu also recognize that there are differences in perception of higher education and it is understandable that parents, relatives and full-time students themselves often expect a large campus but this is not true for Swiss private schools and is also not true for cases where offices and campuses are dispersed like SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu. Students studying full-time at SIMI campuses need to consult and share information clearly with relatives and friends to avoid misunderstandings or unclear information. SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu also look forward to the cooperation of students, parents, and relatives in an excellent learning experience, which SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu aim for and hope to achieve.

Graduation Ceremony

With the Live Class training model, SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu attract students from many countries and territories.

In fact, students graduating with Live Class or online programs often face difficulties in obtaining entry visas (to Europe) as well as increasingly tightened security in the context of epidemics, crises and wars; some graduation ceremonies were held with an unexpected number of students, leading to great damage to reputation for both students, guests from the government and SIMI Swiss.

In this context, SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu decided not to hold graduation ceremonies in Switzerland every year from 2023 for online and hybrid students. Instead, SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu will organize regional graduation ceremonies for graduates. In this case, SIMI, MI Swiss and DoctorEdu will coordinate with local partners and send representatives to distribute diplomas.

"Graduation ceremony costs are not included in tuition."
